Over the three decades I have been researching health and wellness I have discovered many incredible teachers that have taught me so much. On the topics of physical activity, health and obesity the teacher I keep going back to is Claude Bouchard. I have a number of his books and his depth of knowledge and experience are first class.
If you want to understand Obesity, physical activity and how they work together for your health then you need to learn from this excellent teacher. I have listed some of his resources in this article to get you started.
Claude Bouchard’s research focuses on the genetics of obesity and its comorbidities, as well as on the genetics of adaptation to regular exercise in terms of cardiorespiratory fitness and cardiovascular and diabetes risk factors.
Claude Bouchard, PhD, is the executive director of the Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a campus of the Louisiana State University System, and holds the George A. Bray Jr. chair in nutrition. He was director of the Physical Activity Sciences Laboratory at Laval University, Quebec City, Canada, for over 20 years.
