Why Brackmills Park Might Be the Best Kept Secret Near Northampton

Slowing Down, Getting Out, and Sharing More Often

What a walk in the park reminded me about health, content, and presence.

I didn’t plan this one.

I just took my daughter to Brackmills Country Park — partly to get out the house, partly because we both needed to shake off the screen-time fog, and partly because… well, it’s summer. And something inside me knew we needed to move.

A few minutes in, she was picking wild blackberries.
I was rambling out loud about EVs, green spaces, and why we’ve all turned into modern-day cave people.
And just like that — we had a video.

It wasn’t perfect.
But it was honest.

This summer, I’ve decided to share more often — and with less pressure.
No heavy editing. No fancy intros.
Just real moments, in real time, with real lessons baked in.

Because here’s what I’m learning…

Nature resets your nervous system.

You don’t need a gym. You don’t need a complicated plan. You need space. Movement. Sunlight. Something alive.

Kids don’t need perfection.

They need presence. They need to see us model calm, spontaneity, and joy. Even when we’re tired. Even when we’re winging it.

You don’t have to be “ready.”

This walk reminded me that the moment is always waiting. You just have to step into it.

So, this is the energy I’m holding this summer — in my parenting, my content, my work.
Slower. Softer. More spacious.

And if you’re craving that shift too, I’ve got something that might help.

Want to Rebuild Your Life Around What Matters?

I created a course that walks you through exactly that.
It’s called How to Invest in You — and it’s built on six simple principles that have helped me:

  • Stay healthy while raising a family
  • Build energy instead of burning out
  • Align my daily habits with long-term wellbeing

If you’re tired of putting yourself last… this course will show you how to put yourself back in the picture — one intentional step at a time.

In the meantime, I’d love for you to watch the video we filmed that day:

Watch on youtube: Slowing Down, Getting Out, and Sharing More Often

It’s part vlog, part reflection, part gentle nudge to reconnect with what’s already around you.

If it resonates — I’d love to hear from you.
How are you slowing down with purpose this summer?

Let’s keep the conversation going.
