Life: The Science of living
All life is made of cells. Humans are composed of trillions of cells, each of which can trace its lineage back billions of years. These cells originally survived on their own and still retain much of the complex machinery necessary for life. Cells are incredibly complex and highly capable, meaning the number of factors involved in maintaining their balance (homeostasis) is greater than for basic forms of life.
Cells maintain a separate internal environment from their surroundings and tightly regulate what enters or exits. They also work in conjunction with the trillions of other cells that comprise a human, requiring intricate mechanisms to coordinate effectively.
Cells are intricately involved in managing every aspect of a human. Therefore, the more you know about providing for your cells, the better your experience of life will be. Even a little knowledge can go a long way.
This topic concerns the life sciences and how cells function individually and collectively within organisms. Take your time and learn as you go.
