Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available from Automattic. After approval of your comment, your profile picture may be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as visitors to the website may be able to download and extract that data.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on the site, you may choose to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you do not have to fill in your details again later. These cookies may last for up to one year.

If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie may be set to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is removed when you close your browser.

When you log in, cookies may also be used to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies may last for two days, and screen options cookies for up to a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login may persist for two weeks. If you log out, login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish content, an additional cookie may be saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles or pages on this site may include embedded content such as videos, images, or articles. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if you had visited the other website directly.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content, especially if you have an account and are logged in to those websites.

How information is stored

Reasonable steps are taken to keep your information secure and to use only the tools needed to run Fit2Thrive and deliver products or services.

Sharing information

Personal information is not sold. Information may be shared only with trusted service providers where necessary to run the business, process payments, provide course access, operate the website, or deliver products and services.

If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email.

Visitor comments may also be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How long data is retained

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata may be retained indefinitely. This helps recognise and approve follow-up comments automatically rather than holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on the website, personal information provided in the user profile may also be stored. Users can usually see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, except for usernames where this is not possible. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Your rights

You can get in touch if you would like to:

  • request access to your information
  • update your details
  • request an exported file of the personal data held about you
  • ask for personal data to be erased, unless it must be kept for administrative, legal, or security reasons
  • ask questions about how your data is used
